Today other than still having a cough and no voice was pretty good.

Today I didn’t have indigestion until I took some decongestant right before bed.

Still Feeling Crappy

I woke up this morning feeling pretty crappy. Major indigestion most of the day. I started off the morning by finishing off the salted caramel balls. I wasn’t feeling hungry really but I wanted to eat. I had 2 bananas for lunch. Couple cups of hot tea and a vanilla coke. For supper I had a hefty portion of homemade mashed potatoes, a wee bit of cube steak and some homemade gravy (well kinda it was the cream of soup and beef broth the steaks were cooked in).

Couple handfuls of cashews and a handful of dried dates, and a cream soda. No indigestion so far this evening. Going to go ahead and post cause I’m done eating. If I snack it will be water and either cashews or dried dates.

That’s all I could do tonight. I’ve not been feeling 100% all week. I still don’t.  I also walked to the bank today which was 4 blocks total.

I also am trying to eat better. I’m planning on sharing what I eat and how I feel.
Today I had several cups of hot herbal tea sweetened with honey. I had a bean n cheese burrito with salsa cheese and sour cream a banana and a mandarin oranges for lunch. A banana for afternoon snack. Crockpot philly on hoagie with swiss cheese and Doritos and a cherry pepsi for supper. I made some raw food salted caramel balls** and had probably about 5 of those.
Indigestion didn’t start until about 8pm today. I’m guessing that supper is what did it.

**see my previous post for today for the salted caramel balls**

Raw Food Salted Caramel Bites

OK I found this recipe on Pinterest today. I knew I wanted to give it a try. I’m a raw foodie wanna be. I’ve done it in the past and would like to do it agsin.

1 cup dates
1 cup cashews
2 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt

I used a blender to mix them but you could also use a food processor.  Eat immediately, chill in the fridge, or freeze for later.  The original recipe states they will keep up to a month in the refrigerator and months in the freezer. Personally I can’t see them lasting that long. They are that good.

2016 Crochet Temperature Blanket

I decided to make temperature blankets this year.  I agreed with hubby that one big blanket with a day per row would just be too much, so I am making 2, one for January to June and one for July to December.  The first half of the year I am making a corner to corner.  I probably will for the last half too, but I’m not there yet, I may decide to make a different design.  Anyway I didn’t go out and buy yarn, I am using colors from my stash.  Right to left….hot pink, which I have not used yet, is 10’s, lavender is 20’s. blue/gray is 30’s, blue is 40’s. light green 50’s, dark green 60’s, yellow 70’s,  fuchsia is 80’s, red is 90’s and 100+ is the mexicali variegated cause for me 100+ is a party!  (I love the hot heat of summer)

Here are my first 31 rows, corner to corner.  2016 makes a great year to do corner to corner because there are 366 days, so each half is an even number, although the last half will be slightly bigger.  Looking forward to February colors.  I’m hoping they are all green and up! 🙂

Crochet/Knit Recently Finished

Ok so I made 3 more dice bags, all in one night. They are easy now. I’ve made enough of them that I don’t have to check the pattern every row like I did before.

I also finished my poncho.  It’s actually knit.

I shared a picture with my mom and she wants one.

I’m using this yarn to make hers.  She asked for blues.

You can get yarn like this on Amazon ICE YARNS Twinkle Wool Silver  I can’t wait to order this and get started.  I think I’m going to like it better than I like mine.

I’m almost finished with January’s temperature blanket rows.  I’ll share a post of my progress once I’m finished with January.

HHM 2-1-2016

The Weather Today:::
It wasn’t too bad.  It was in the mid to upper 50’s.  Didn’t really need a coat, but I wore one anyway.

Looking/Listening Outside:::
It’s 9:49 pm.  All I can see is the glow of the streetlights off in the distance.  Nothing to listen to either except the hum of the lights, the heater running and Fuzzy bathing behind me,

Tonight I have::::
Fixed supper, been to the laundromat, gone grocery shopping, premade pizzas for tomorrow’s supper, and premade a couple crockpot meals for this week.

Happening This Week:::
Work on the temporary kitchen walls
Wednesday evening supper and Bible Study  at church
Magic the Gathering draft on Friday night

Currently Reading::: *affiliate links*
The Story that we are studying through at church. (I’m a little closer to being caught up)

I also have a book that I borrowed from the e-library, but I can’t remember the name right now and don’t have my tablet handy to look.

In the Craft Basket:::
I have a temperature blanket and a entrelac blanket in the works.  Thinking about buying some yarn specifically for a poncho for my mom.  I did finish mine and she liked it and wants one.

New Recipe I Have Made:::
nothing new

The Menu This Week:::
In no particular order:

homemade pizza, baked potatoes, cube steaks and gravy, crockpot philly’s, and for back-up I have spaghetti and mac n cheese.  Sandwiches, leftovers and burritos for lunch

Thinking and Pondering:::
Still been thinking too much on the nomadic lifestyle *sigh*

I’m linking up with Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom.
Thanks for stopping by!

Another Cold Night at the Laundromat

Yep its that time of the week again. Technically Sunday is my laundry washing day but we were out of town, so I wasn’t able to get it done.

Last week I was here on Monday as well and it was cold. Same thing tonight. Burrr!  Wonder if they are keeping the heat down to save money.  I noticed tonight that a few more washers are “OUT OF ORDER”. At least half  of the washing machines don’t work.  24 washers and 10 don’t work. Some of them are the heavy duty ones.  They cost double what the regular washers cost. My laundry budget is $6 a week unless there are extra to wash.

Laundry is finished, waiting on hubby to come pick me up, so we can go get happy hour drinks.

Had the wrong shoes on tonight or I would have gone longer. I’m almost to the 3 mph mark.

Tonight I was able to keep the pace of 2.7 mph up for half a mile. Making progress. The minutes is what’s left from a 30 minute workout, which I obviously didn’t finish.
